I had the privilege to photograph an early fall wedding at Westwood Country Club, recently. One thing I love about this Cleveland wedding venue is the way it sets the tone for a wedding day from the moment you arrive.
The grounds stretch wide and green, even in the heart of fall, holding onto that late-season richness while the air shifts just enough to remind you a new season is coming. Alyssa and Adam’s wedding day at Westwood Country Club was no different. It felt calm, refined, and quietly beautiful—like everything had already settled into place before the day even began.
Every detail seemed to echo that same sense of simple elegance.
Classic white flowers layered throughout the spaces, soft and timeless against the natural backdrop. Alyssa’s dress carried that same feeling—a classic silhouette with elegant draping that moved so effortlessly it felt like an extension of her. Nothing overdone. Just thoughtful, intentional beauty in every direction you looked.
One of my favorite moments happened just before the ceremony.
A slightly open door, a pause outside the church doors, and the two of them instinctively reaching for each other—hands meeting. They chose to forgo a first look, opting instead for a quick, quiet but meaningful moment of connection.
The flower girls were absolutely adorable—caught between excitement and careful steps, adding this lightness that only kids can bring to a wedding day. After a beautiful ceremony, guests were led inside the banquet hall, where long tables lined the room with a soft, elegant structure. Greenery floated overhead, creating this canopy that made the entire space feel layered and intimate at the same time. It was the kind of setting that invited people to linger a little longer, to lean in a little closer.
I love noticing how much of a wedding lives in these little moments. The way someone reaches across a table, the way families watch from just a step away, holding onto what this day means for all of them. This intimate fall wedding at Westwood Country Club was full of them.
As the evening unfolded, the energy in the reception grew into something entirely its own.
The banquet hall came alive—music filling the space, laughter carrying across the room, people gathering closer as the night went on. It shifted from soft elegance into celebration so naturally, like the space was made to hold both.
It’s moments like this that make me love what I do, and this beautiful fall wedding at Westwood Country Club was one to remember.
