Some weddings feel like they carry their own kind of light—and this late summer day at Jorgensen Farms Oak Grove with Erin and James was exactly that.

From the moment you stepped onto the property, everything felt alive in that late-August kind of way. The gardens were full and green, the air still warm but the sun setting a little earlier, beginning to hint at the shift into fall. It’s one of the things I love most about weddings at Oak Grove at Jorgensen Farms—the way the entire space feels rooted in nature, yet intentionally designed in a way that photographs so beautifully.

The day itself felt bright and joyful from the very beginning. Erin’s bridesmaids wore a mix of multi-colored dresses, each one different but somehow perfectly cohesive. It added this layer of personality and movement that you could feel throughout the entire day. Paired with the wild, whimsical florals—full of color and texture—it all came together in a way that felt both playful and deeply thoughtful.

One of my favorite details was the parasols the bridesmaids carried. Not just beautiful, but purposeful in the late summer sun. They added this soft, romantic quality to the outdoor moments, while also giving everything a slightly timeless feel. 

The ceremony took place inside the Greenhouse at Oak Grove, which is honestly one of the most special spaces. The light filters in so gently through the glass, surrounding everything in this natural glow. You don’t need much there—the space already does so much on its own. As they stood together, you could just feel how grounded the moment was. 

Afterward, we wandered outside for portraits, and this is where, as a venue, Oak Grove at Jorgensen Farms really shines. The lush greenery created the perfect backdrop, letting all of those colorful details—the dresses, the flowers, the little in-between moments—stand out even more.

The reception moved into the main hall, where the atmosphere shifted into something a little more grounded but just as warm. The combination of natural textures and clean design makes it such a versatile space. It held all the color from earlier in the day so beautifully, while still allowing room for the quieter moments—the toasts, the glances across the table, the easy joyful moments. 

And then, as the night came to a close, they stepped outside for a sparkler exit. Everyone gathered close, holding light in their hands, watching them walk forward into something new. It’s one of those scenes that feels just as meaningful as the vows themselves.

This late summer wedding at Jorgensen Farms Oak Grove was full of color, personality, and life. But underneath all of that, it was steady. Genuine. Rooted in something lasting.
