Ali and Cody’s early summer wedding at The Shoreby Club in Ohio was filled with light, bright colors, meaningful family moments, and the kind of excitement you could feel from everyone around them. From the emotional morning preparations to the waterfront celebration, every part of the day felt thoughtful, timeless, and full of love
Set along the shores of Lake Erie, The Shoreby Club in Ohio feels more like a waterfront destination venue than something tucked away just outside Cleveland. Between the expansive greenspace, stunning lake views, and bright boathouse-inspired reception space, it’s easy to forget you’re still in Ohio.
The morning began with Ali getting ready surrounded by her closest family and friends. While there was plenty of laughter and anticipation, but there were also some incredibly tender moments woven throughout the morning.
Those emotional exchanges with parents as they see their daughter dressed and ready to walk down the aisle always become some of my favorite memories from a wedding day.
Ali wore an elegant trumpet-style gown paired with a cathedral veil that flowed beautifully behind her. Her bouquet featured classic white flowers and fresh greenery, while the bridesmaids wore soft taupe dresses that complemented the light, airy feel of the day.
The ceremony took place at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist before guests made their way to The Shoreby Club for the celebration. One of the things I love most about The Shoreby Club is the variety it offers for portraits. The waterfront views, manicured lawns, and beautiful architecture create a timeless backdrop at every turn.
A Summer wedding at The Shoreby Club feels especially magical. The natural light reflecting off Lake Erie gives everything a soft glow, and the property feels open, relaxed, and inviting. Everywhere you look, there is another beautiful view of the water.
Inside, the reception space at The Shoreby Club perfectly matched the couple’s understated elegance. The bright, beachy atmosphere and large windows overlooking the lake created a setting that felt both refined and welcoming. Guests enjoyed the waterfront views while celebrating Ali and Cody with heartfelt toasts, plenty of laughter, a few tears, and a packed dance floor.
As the sun began to set over Lake Erie, the venue truly showed off its beauty. The shoreline, the warm summer light, and the peaceful waterfront setting created the perfect ending to an unforgettable day. Ali and Cody’s wedding day was filled with joy, emotion, family, and so many meaningful moments. The kind of day that reminds you why weddings matter in the first place.
